Joint Mobilizations & Manipulations
Joint mobilizations involve gentle stretching of the joint capsule to re-establish pain-free range of motion (ROM). By applying physical stimulus to the joint, we are able to increase lubrication, relax deep muscular stabilizers, and activate proprioceptors to help increase balance and awareness.
Joint manipulations or adjustments involving placing a joint/s in specific positions and applying a light thrust which often results in an audible sound. This sound is gas release in the joint which can result in decreased pain, increased ROM, and increased muscle activation resulting in improved balance and stability.
Soft tissue therapy
We are very hands-on practitioners who target musculature and soft tissues through various methods. This style of therapy is very similar to deep tissue massage but with more targeted intent.
Active Release Technique
By applying pressure and tension on tissue through movement, we are able to break down adhesions/scar tissue while enhancing collagen production.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
Through the use of specially designed tools, we are able to provide specific and targeted therapy to muscle, fascia and connective tissues.
In-person therapy is a cornerstone of chiropractic care but our goal is to empower our patients to take recovery in their own hands. To do this, we provide at-home exercises through our online-based program: Physitrack.
This platform allows for seamless exercise prescription with in-depth educational videos that provide all the information our patients require. It allows you to track your progress and also record any pain which sends alerts directly to us.
Your support system starts from the ground up. We have teamed up with Kiwi Orthotic Services to bring you the latest in custom orthotic prescription. Using 3D laser mapping technology, we create a digital mold of your foot. The data package is sent to labs where fabrication begins immediately and from scratch. The result is a product that is 100% customized to your foot and needs.
Kiwi provides multiple different types of activity-specific orthotics including golf, hockey, industrial, running, casual, and even high heels. Modifications can be made for heel lifts, metatarsal pads, Morton's neuroma and more.
